John Caputo is a hybrid philosopher/theologian intent on producing impure thoughts, thoughts which circulate between philosophy and theology, short-circuits which deny fixed and rigorous boundaries between philosophy and theology. Caputo treats “sacred” texts as a poetics of the human condition, or as a “theo-poetics,” a poetics of the event harbored in the name of God.

Peter Rollins is a Northern Irish writer, public speaker and philosopher/theologian who is an important figure in Postmodern Christianity. His work operates at the intersection of Post-structuarlism, Psychoanalysis, Phenomenology and Existentialism. His earlier work operates broadly within the tradition of Apophatic Theology while his more recent books signal a move toward the theory and practice of Radical Theology. He is known for developing a “religionless” interpretation of Christianity called Pyrotheology, an interpretation that views faith as a particular way of engaging with the world rather than of believing things about the world.
